1- what are the layby conditions of purchase?
2- would i have to come into store each time i wanted to make a payment or can i do it electronically?
3-would the Auckland store have all the items listed on the website, or might i have to order in?

Here are answers to your questions:

1. We can email you our Layby Conditions on request.

2. How to make payment:

    You can make payments personally when you are in store or we can provide you with our bank details upon request for a bank   transfer.

We do accept cheque as a method of payment, but please keep in mind it can take up to 5 working

days the cheque to clear.

If you would prefer to speak to one of our staff members and pay by Credit Card over the phone,

please ring us on 09-309-8281.

3. Basically, we published on our website around 70% of items we have in stock. So, we definitely have much more to look around at, in our retail store at K'rd.

Q:  Hi

I am looking for 2 large alice packs with frames and all the straps and was wondering if you had any?
If so, what is the capacity in litres? What condition are they in? what colour are they? What price are they?
and are they the genuine US alice pack or a cheap knock off?

A:  Hi Micahel,
Thank you for your inquiry.
Currently, we have New Zealand Army older issue large used ALICE packs in O/D and DPM. Pack O/D costs $75.00. Pack in DPM is $79.00.
We also have a new US Issue ALICE pack medium size Olive Drab at $99.00.
All packs are genuine army surplus items and come with the frames and padded shoulder straps and padded lumber straps.
These are made of high quality nylon with strong stitching.

The medium size ALICE pack can be used with the ALICE frame or without it. If you you are going to use the pack without the frame simply detach the frame and re-attach shoulder straps straight to the pack.  It snugs up nicely to the body (no back and forth pack movement at all!). When you carry the bag with the frame it is off from the body and can sway a little if not packed right.
The medium size ALICE pack was designed to carry up to 50 pounds load. Basically, with pack load of 35 lbs and less you do not need to use the frame, if load is over 35 lbs use the frame. The medium size ALICE packs were made in Olive Drab and US pattern woodland camouflage colors.

The large size ALICE pack was designed for loads around 85 lbs. You can use it with the ALICE frame only.

Q:   Hello I am trying desperately to get a hold of a British Army Surplus All Arms Bergen.
 
I had one I bought last year and absolutely loved it but its time for a newer one.
 
It has been the absolute perfect fishing backpack for tramping in to remote fishing spots in the far north NZ.
 
I am specifically after the model which is roughly 50-60 liters. The colour does not worry me, I will take any available.
 
I have spotted a picture of one Im 99.9% sure is the one Im after on your website armyshop.co.nz although its referred to as Other Arms Rucksack/holdall bag British DPM used $79.

Unfortunately, we do not have a genuine British Bergen Packs new in stock any more.
However, there are two choices still here.
The first one is Web-Tex PLCE Pack 3/4 Size DPM. It is a Web-Tex copy of British Army Bergen pack, 90L capacity, new, $255.00.

The second option is Other Arms Pack (it is on the picture you sent us). It is a genuine British Army Bergen used pack,
50 L capacity, you can add capacity with additional 10L pouches on each side . These large detachable side pouches could be purchase separately.
We have brand new pouches in DPM ($35.00 each) and used pouches in Olive Drab ($12.50 each). They are attached by zipper or/and clip system.
You can use this versatile pack as holdall bag also.
Made of internally warproof 1000 Cordura.  
This is a great surplus product, no rips or tears in DPM camouflage pattern.
It is  IRR resistant  (it cannot be detected by infra-red devices).
It comes with padded shoulder straps, you can cover these by cordura over flap, when using pack as a holdall bag.
The pack inside is divided into 2 compartments.
Pack dimensions approximately are 50cm x 40cm x 23 with no side packs attached
